The Innovolve Group Hosts Inaugural Canadian Water Summit
TORONTO, June 16 /CNW/ - The inaugural Canadian Water Summit will be held Thursday, June 17 at the International Centre in Toronto, Ontario. By building a common understanding of the broad economic and environmental impacts of water, the Summit aims to help business, government and community leaders get one step closer towards a shared agenda for water sustainability.
Summit speakers will include Ontario Premier, Dalton McGuinty, Honourable John Milloy, Ontario Minister of Research and Innovation, and influential water industry and municipal representatives from across Canada. "The Summit is a platform for dialogue among diverse stakeholders who recognize the increasing need to work together on water sustainability challenges," explains Dr. Anthony Watanabe, President and CEO of the Innovolve Group.
The Summit is scheduled for 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2010. Thirty-five speakers and more than 300 delegates will be in attendance. Attendees will engage through presentations, workshops and "open space" round table discussions. The Summit is a collaborative effort between the Innovolve Group and advisors from Sustainable Buildings Canada, Sustainable Development Technology Canada, The Globe and Mail, University of Toronto Centre for Environment, Water Canada, Waterlution, and WWF-Canada.
