The Institute for Performance and Learning Rebrands the Canadian Society for Training and Development (CSTD)
TORONTO, Sept. 21, 2015 /CNW/ - The Institute for Performance and Learning is proud to announce the rebranding of Canada's preeminent member-based association for workplace performance and learning professionals.
The new brand more fully reflects our evolving profession and speaks to the need to grow and influence organizational strategy and government policy related to workplace performance and learning.
"We needed to evolve our brand so it better reflected our vision, mission and the diversity of our membership," said The Institute for Performance and Learning's CEO Rob Pearson. "A bolder brand better aligned to The Institute's business goals is integral to becoming a more recognized and respected voice in workplace productivity, innovation and performance."
The Institute for Performance and Learning began as the Canadian Society for Training and Development (CSTD), which had a long history promoting the development of workplace learning in Canada. The Institute plans to continue to set standards for excellence in professional practice set forth by CSTD decades ago, through a competency framework, code of ethics and sought-after professional designations.
"We promote the value of our profession to organizational leaders, government representatives and individual workers who look to us for thought leadership and curation of the latest trends combined with research-based knowledge of the profession," said Pearson. "Our brand needed to reflect that; performance and learning professionals create and develop solutions that engage, enable and inspire adults to perform at their best and make the organizations where they work more successful, innovative and productive."
A website – www.performanceandlearning.ca – has been launched that features The Institute's point of view alongside recent research publications and career journeys of its members.
