MONTREAL, Dec. 4, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - As of today, December 3, 2015, the Jean Béliveau Foundation will have its very own address in the universe of the Web with the launching of its new website at jeanbeliveau.org.
The site of the Jean Béliveau Foundation is a general overview of the brilliant career of an exceptional athlete, a great ambassador who reinvented the notions of grace and elegance, and of an illustrious philanthropist who, humbly and discretely, provided assistance to countless disabled and disadvantaged children.
"Via the jeanbeliveau.org website, declared Marc Beaulieu, President of the Foundation, we can honour Mr. Béliveau's legacy of a better life for many future generations of disabled children."
Created in 1971, the Jean Béliveau Foundation has witnessed, during its first 22 years of existence, phenomenal growth as the capital went from $155,000 to a staggering $833,000. During the same period, the Foundation made some major contributions, approximately $600,000, to many non-profit organizations.
In 1993, Jean Béliveau decided to entrust the administration of the Foundation to the Quebec Society for Disabled Children. From that day on, close to $1.2 M were donated to the Society for the acquisition of equipment and material serving children who attend Camp Papillon.
The jeanbeliveau.org site is an appeal to all to carry on the work that the great Jean Béliveau was resolutely committed to.
