The JUNO Awards, MusiCounts and TD Bank Group announce renewed partnership to support Canadian Music
2017 MusiCounts TD Community Music Program Recipients Announced
TORONTO, Nov. 21, 2017 /CNW/ - The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) and TD Bank Group are pleased to announce the renewal of their seven year relationship. The exclusive collaboration will provide enhanced and continued support for Canadian music through a variety of events, community and educational programs across the country.
As part of the renewed collaboration, MusiCounts is thrilled to share that TD will be increasing their support with a contribution of $1.875 million, over the next three years. As Canada's music education charity associated with CARAS, MusiCounts transforms communities across Canada by giving underserved youth access to musical instruments and equipment. To date, the initiative has supported almost 100 programs across Canada with over $1.7 million provided in instruments and equipment.
Also announced today were the 2017 MusiCounts TD Community Music Program recipients from all across Canada, a total of 27 community music programs will receive $500,000 worth of instruments and equipment. For a complete list of 2017 recipients click here.

JUNO Week 2018 will also receive increased support from TD for the JUNO Fan Choice Award, as well as the TD Green Room, which provides a unique showcase opportunity for local and emerging Canadian artists. JUNO Week 2018 will be hosted in Vancouver, British Columbia from March 19 through March 25, 2018.
The partnership will also see TD collaborating with the JUNO Awards, MusiCounts and CBC Music to create new custom activations and programming that will extend the bank's support of Canadian talent and communities throughout the year creating a commitment to music 365 days of the year.
