The JUNO Tour of Canadian Art at the National Gallery of Canada
Great Canadian music meets great Canadian art
OTTAWA, Feb. 24, 2012 /CNW/ - To celebrate the 41st annual JUNO Awards taking place in Ottawa on April 1st 2012, the National Gallery of Canada (NGC) is partnering with The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) and the JUNO Awards to pair great Canadian art with great Canadian musicians.
Eight Canadian JUNO Award nominees and winners are in the process of visiting the Gallery in Ottawa to choose artworks with particular meaning to them. Their responses are being captured in a series of short videos, which will be hosted online beginning March 26th until the end of October 2012. The responses will also be made available as an audio tour for those visiting the NGC.
Participating artists: Classified, Hollerado, Kellylee Evans, Lynn Miles, Mighty Popo, Gabriel Malenfant (Radio Radio), Shad and Chuck Comeau (Simple Plan).
Bell audioguides are available to visitors in the Great Hall. Cost: $6 each.

Admission and NGC hours
Tickets for the Gallery's collection are $9 for adults, $7 for seniors and full-time students, $4 for youths aged 12 to 19 years, and $18 for families (two adults and three children). Admission is free of charge for children under 12 and for Gallery members. Open daily from 10 am to 5 pm, and on Thursdays, until 8 pm. For more information, call 613-998-8888 or 1-888-541-8888.
