The Last Call Show'n'Shine Car Show will hit the road on September 22 & 23!
A multi-day motoring celebration highlights the Confederation Bridge's 15th anniversary festivities with the retro polish of exotic vehicles, as well as rare and favorite pre-1980 classic cars in Charlottetown's Confederation Landing Park
CHARLOTTETOWN, Sept. 19, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - With the mild summer breeze that prolongs this warm season, the Confederation Bridge will surely attract some distinctive traffic this coming September 22 and 23 as many exotic and vintage car fans will set their tires on Prince Edward Island for the 2012 edition of The Last Call Show'n'Shine Car Show in the historic downtown Charlottetown's Confederation Landing Park. A world-class summer event, the two-day motoring show will draw car owners and enthusiasts including a contingent of Minis and more! All will witness a spectacular showcase bringing together historic traditions and technological innovations by the world's finest car brands!
The exciting event will kick-off on Saturday, September 22 at 11am with the main showcase and a Concours d'Elegance award for high-end vehicles, and will continue with the MINI Invasion experience on Victoria Row, accompanied by live music performances in the afternoon. September 23 will begin with a scenic drive on the North Shore followed by the Show'n' Shine at Landing Park. In all, $5,000 in cash prizes will be awarded!

MINI invasion on the Confederation Bridge!
A new signature event is featured during the 2012 Last Call edition, a MINI Invasion! It will attract regional owners of both classic MINIs as well as today's models in a spectacular show, set against the backdrop of one of the newly named "Great streets of Canada" - Victoria Row, in historic downtown Charlottetown. The MINI Invasion will allow participants to celebrate the latest in MINI design and innovation while paying tribute to the emblematic vehicle's history, as well as experience the world-renowned Prince Edward Island hospitality, cuisine and culture. In addition to the jam-packed schedule of The Last Call weekend, a MINI Invasion will play host to two key programming pieces with "The Experience MINI Zone" activities on Victoria Row and the "Picture Yourself" photo booth contest. A summer of celebration
To mark its 15th anniversary, the Confederation Bridge has partnered with the tourism industry and event organizers to present an incredible schedule of festivities. In June, the Indian River Festival kicked off its annual summer concert series with a sold-out special Confederation Bridge 15th anniversary celebration concert featuring the internationally-renowned Cape Breton fiddler, Natalie MacMaster. The Victoria Playhouse Festival continued to delight audiences with its popular summer-long theatre and concert series, while numerous signature events such as ATLANTICADE 2012, Summerfest, the IMF Car Show and the Cavendish Beach Festival with musical guests Rascal Flatts and Alabama kept the Island abuzz with excitement. Next up, the TD Jazz and Blues Festival kept the good times rolling from August 13 to 19 with stellar performers the likes of Oliver Jones.
