MONTREAL, March 25, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Leucan is proud to launch today the 15th edition of the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge, presented by The Jean Coutu Group. People from all across Quebec can come together once again in support of cancer-stricken children and their families by putting a price on their heads.
A record edition
For the 15th anniversary of the Challenge, Leucan is going above and beyond to make it a unique celebration and a world record for generosity! To do this, Leucan will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most heads shaved simultaneously in four hours. This will be accomplished during the provincial edition of the event on May 24 throughout 18 shaving sites across Quebec. The 2015 edition will be a record-breaking one across the board, as participants will help achieve several feats, especially online and on social media.
La Ronde will host this year's provincial site, where the main media event will be held. Several public figures will be present, such as a team of Bell Media hosts who will be there supporting the participants.
Dominic Paquet, provincial spokesperson of the Challenge for a fourth year, invites all of Quebec: "Join me and be part of this historical moment for Leucan by organising your Personalized Challenge or by participating in one of Leucan's shaving sites. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to take part in this record edition (#Recordstetesrasees, #Tetesrasees) or visit shavedheadchallenge.com for more details on the event."
Leucan is proud to count on The Jean Coutu Group's generosity as presenter of the event for a sixth year. In addition, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary edition, Mia has created an exclusive earring: the Earring of Hope. All profits from the sale of the earring will go to Leucan.
