The Living City Foundation Changes its Name to Toronto and Region Conservation Foundation
TORONTO, Nov. 5, 2018 /CNW/ - The Living City Foundation has announced that it has changed its operating name to Toronto and Region Conservation Foundation. This change clearly expresses the Foundation's alignment with Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) and reaffirms its commitment to building support for TRCA's vital conservation efforts.
"While recognizing the need to think globally, Toronto and Region Conservation Foundation is committed to supporting actions that protect and restore nature, and build healthy, prosperous communities in the Toronto region," said Patricia Koval, Chair of Toronto and Region Conservation Foundation. "In emphasizing our regional focus, we look forward to generating strong support over the coming years to help enhance the quality of life right here in the Toronto region."
Toronto and Region Conservation Foundation is the fundraising and charitable arm of TRCA. Since 1961, it has raised more than $50 million for TRCA's environmental projects, learning programs and community engagement initiatives in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.
