MONTRÉAL, Dec. 15, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - The Montréal Canadiens and Bell today announced the return of the documentary series 24CH, with weekly episodes starting January 2 on Canal D, RDS, CTV Montréal and the Bell Fibe TV app.
"24CH continues to be a wonderful way to connect our fans to their on-ice heroes," said Kevin Gilmore, Executive Vice-President and COO of the Canadiens. "It also provides great insight to understand the depth of the entire organization, and everything required to deliver the greatest hockey experience in the NHL. We are thrilled to bring it back for the remainder of the season."
"24CH is a magnet for viewers every season, while 24CH Premiere is one of the most watched programs on the Bell Fibe TV app," said Nicolas Poitras, Vice President, Bell Residential Services. "Bell is very excited to partner again with the Montréal Canadiens to bring Habs fans and Bell Fibe TV customers not only a new season of 24CH but also the all-new 24CH The Valet, representing more great community content available only on TV1."
Bell Fibe TV customers will have 24-hour advance access with 24CH Premiere on the Bell Fibe TV app, and Fibe TV customers will also be able to watch 24CH The Valet, a new show hosted by Maxim Martin and featuring Canadiens players in one-on-one conversations, on Bell Fibe community channel TV1.
Offering unique off-the-ice access to many Canadiens players, 24CH The Valet joins valet Maxim Martin as he drives players to a series of special experiences that are off the beaten path. During each episode, Maxim will pull out all the stops to offer viewers intimate, funny, touching and surprising moments as participating players face questions, games, improvisations and challenges in planned or chance encounters. 24CH The Valet will touch on players' memories and aspirations and go all out to create unique moments.
This year, 24CH will reconnect with the Habs' glorious history while exploring the passion that drives players and fans alike. With this in mind, 24CH will call on celebrity Habs fans, including Montréal Mayor Denis Coderre, actor/singer Stéphane Archambault, and comedians Louis Morissette and Patrick Groulx, who will describe their love for the Habs by sharing their fondest memories.
Viewers will also see in-depth interviews with former Canadiens players and coaches such as Kirk Muller, Yvan Cournoyer, Mats Näslund, Mario Tremblay, Vincent Damphousse and Jacques Demers, who will supplement the various themes explored throughout the season.
Produced once again this year by Attraction Images, the 24CH series brings together a talented team, including producer Marie-Christine Pouliot and directors Richard Lacombe and Olivier Benoit-Laurence, along with content collaborator Justin Kingsley, who writes the narrative texts.
The fourth season of 24CH will be the first Bell Media program shot completely in 4K Ultra HD image quality, offering the best definition on the market.
