The Mouvement québécois de la qualité hosts the largest conference on
improving productivity in North America

MONTREAL , Nov. 12 /CNW Telbec/ - Today, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, the Mouvement québécois de la qualité will host the largest conference on improving productivity in North America . This is a unique event that will include the Salon sur les meilleures pratiques d'affaires (a best business practices show), an international-level conference and the award of the Grands Prix québécois de la qualité by the Minister for Développement économique, Innovation et Exportation, Mr. Clément Gignac.

The Salon sur les meilleures pratiques d'affaires

As part of this major event, business leaders and key employees will have the opportunity to meet with 37 teams from 34 companies who contributed to the success of their organization. These teams provide concrete examples of improvement, innovative ideas and solutions. This is the only business show in Quebec that is entirely devoted to sharing experiences and insights. The show is designed to meet the needs of the 2,000 business executives, managers and key workers who will attend throughout the day.

A distinguished visitor

In addition, Michael Hoseus, former Toyota top executive, will deliver an address in which he will explain in detail how HR practices can maintain people's commitment to continuous improvement of quality. Mr. Hoseus was one of the leaders of Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Georgetown, Kentucky, before joining, as Director General, the Center for Quality People & Organizations, whose mission is to share the Toyota vision with other organizations.

Due recognition for outstanding results

Finally, in conjunction with the show, the Minister for Développement économique, Innovation et Exportation will recognize excellence in Quebec organizations by awarding the Grands Prix québécois de la qualité at a gala luncheon for around a thousand business leaders and key employees at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. These prizes are an official recognition that the Government of Quebec grants to enterprises and organizations that have distinguished themselves by the quality of their management and overall performance.
