Legendary author Eric Jonrosh (Ferrell), the undisputed master of fiction, personally opens and closes each episode of THE SPOILS OF BABYLON, introducing audiences to the storytelling genius behind the brilliant adaptation of his best-selling novel. Chronicling the lives of the Morehouse family, led by Jonas Morehouse (Robbins), his daughter Cynthia (Wiig), and her adopted brother Devon (Maguire), the series takes viewers from the oil fields of Texas to the boardrooms of New York City, through war-torn battlefields and velvet-sheeted bedrooms.
Cynthia and Devon's unbridled and taboo passion for one another cannot be prevented. With Cynthia's evil son Winston (Osment), her put-upon husband Chet Halner (Sheen), and Devon's new love interest Dixie Melonworth (Alba), in addition to the booze, the pills, more passion, more pills and the heartache, viewers are left with a hotbed of emotions about to bubble over. Add in illegal arms deals, international espionage, the Shah of Iran (Ferrell), and two U.S. Army Generals (Kilmer, Steve Tom), THE SPOILS OF BABYLON becomes one of the most epic stories of our time.
THE SPOILS OF BABLYON is produced by Funny or Die and executive produced by Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Matt Piedmont, Andrew Steele, and Nate Young. Steele and Piedmont created and wrote the series, and Piedmont directed.
THE SPOILS OF BABLYON will be available in High Definition on TMN GO and The Movie Network OnDemand.
THE SPOILS OF BABYLON is part of an exclusive deal between Tricon Films & Television and Bell Media for IFC original programming, which airs across Bell's extensive Pay and Specialty TV channels. Series-to-date include COMEDY BANG! BANG! and BUNK, which premiered this past year on The Comedy Network and Much, respectively.
