OTTAWA, Oct. 26, 2015 /CNW/ - The National Airlines Council of Canada (NACC), the industry trade association representing Canada's largest air carriers, announced today that Mike McNaney, Vice-President, Industry, Corporate and Airport Affairs at WestJet has been appointed Chair of the NACC Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Mr. McNaney succeeds Jean-François Lemay, General Manager of Air Transat. The NACC extends its thanks and appreciation to Mr. Lemay for the leadership he brought to the organization as Chair of the Board of Directors over the past year.
In other changes to its Board, the NACC also welcomed the appointments of Colin Copp, President, Jazz Aviation LP and Franco Giampa, Vice-President, Airports and System Operations Control for Jazz Aviation LP as well as Mario Lafrance, Director, Quality Assurance and Technical Operations at Air Transat.
The NACC thanks outgoing Board Members Joseph Randell, President and CEO, Chorus Aviation Inc., Scott Tapson, Vice President, Corporate and Commercial Development, Chorus Aviation Inc., and Jon Turner, Executive Vice-President, Technical Operations, Air Transat.
