The NEB will provide more time for people to apply to participate in the Energy East hearing Français
CALGARY, March 9, 2015 /CNW/ - The National Energy Board (NEB or Board) will be re-opening the application to participate process (ATP) for a one week period, from 10 – 17 March, 2015.
The NEB has been made aware that there were some technical difficulties with the NEB website for short periods of time during the Energy East application to participate (ATP) process. As a result, the Board has decided to re-open the application to participate process for one week, 10-17 March 2015. The additional week provides sufficient opportunity to those who may have been impacted by the technical difficulties.
The Board continues to evaluate the over 1800 applications that were received between 03 February and 03 March 2015 to determine which applicants will be approved to participate.
There are an additional 5 information sessions being held over the next week. This is in addition to the 69 sessions previously offered regarding ATP. Further, NEB Process Advisors continue to be available to assist all individuals applying to participate.
The National Energy Board is an independent federal regulator of several parts of Canada's energy industry with the safety of Canadians and protection of the environment as its top priority. Its purpose is to regulate pipelines, energy development and trade in the Canadian public interest.
