MONTREAL, May 22, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - The annual convention of the Ordre des dentistes du Québec, known as the Journées dentaires internationales du Québec (JDIQ), will be held this year from May 22 to 26, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. This annual continuing education event, organized by the Ordre des dentistes du Québec, brings together more than 12,000 participants. It is Canada's largest dental convention, and the yearly get-together for Quebec dentists and members of their dental teams.
Program and workshops
The scientific program for the 2015 JDIQ includes more than 110 lectures and workshops, featuring some 125 speakers from Canada, the United States and Europe.
Among the highlights are a panel discussion with dentists from Quebec and different regions of France on the theme of forensic dentistry, from ethics to legal expertise. There will also be a lecture giving a concise history of facial reconstruction and face transplants and examining the very latest techniques in this field. The lecture on nutrition for the dental team is designed to help members of the dental team counsel their patients effectively on healthy eating. All these activities will be presented on May 25.
