QUÉBEC, Oct. 20, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - 25 years after the creation of its educational activities, The National Battlefields Commission (NBC) celebrated the visit of its one millionth group participant this morning. The students of Mr. Bouchard's class from the Marguerite-Bourgeoys elementary school in La Cité-Limoilou experienced a special conclusion to their activities at the Plains of Abraham Museum. The 60 elementary school students were grinning from ear to ear when a contemporary military officer unveiled a cake and Plains-themed gifts to mark this special occasion.
Quick facts
- A leader in period presentations, the Plains of Abraham offers the opportunity to discover its rich heritage through dynamic and interactive activities to over 75 000 participants in 2000 groups every year. We now offer more than 50 educational presentations and fun activities to elementary and secondary school students, playgrounds, daycares and adult groups at the park, in the classroom and by videoconference.
