Weather and temperature permitting, the rink will extend into a 1.5 kilometre natural ice ring, much to the pleasure of skaters. What's more, the Quays of the Old Port will team up with their new partner, Van Houtte to add a touch of warmth and refinement to skaters' coffee breaks.
Nothing could be better than an inspiring beat to which skaters can glide! Hence, the Old Port rink features a different musical program every evening, Monday to Friday, from

Port Symphonies Let the ships sing!
The tradition lives on! Once again, ships moored at the Quays will synchronize their horns and, in unison, play a symphony that will resonate from the Promenade to Place Royale, while the heart of Old Montréal will beat to the sounds of the Port Symphonies' outdoor concert. Trains, tug-boats, and ships moored at the Old Port for the winter and other urban instruments, including the bells of Notre-Dame church, will blend their sounds into an original and unusual composition.
