Minister agrees to meet regularly with QCGN and other leaders from the English-speaking community to work on issues of common interest
MONTREAL, Oct. 1, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Representatives of the Quebec Community Groups Network (QCGN) met today with Minister Jean-François Lisée - Minister of International Relations, La Francophonie and External Trade - for the first time since his appointment as Minister responsible for outreach to the English-speaking community of Quebec.
"This has been a positive first meeting" said QCGN President Dan Lamoureux. "Our goal is to contribute to this government's awareness of the realities of the contemporary English-speaking community. We are also committed to work with the Minister in order to establish and formalize procedures to identify issues of common interest and by that, sustain the vitality of the English-speaking community."
