QUÉBEC CITY, Feb. 7, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The Québec Entrepreneurship Contest is proud to announce the creation of the "Successful Business Inc. Prize," which has been made possible by a generous financial contribution from the Ministère des Finances et de l'Économie. In all, $195 000 in prizes will be awarded in the 16th edition of the Contest. There will be prizes of $10 000 in each of Québec's 17 regions and a prize of $25 000 at the provincial level for the grand prize winner selected from among the regional winners.
As Manon Théberge, President-Director General of the Contest, points out, "The new Successful Business Inc. Prize showcases Québec businesses, which are the driving force behind the province's economic development and wealth. In addition to highlighting the success of these businesses, Successful Business Inc. presents inspiring models to follow." This prize is intended for entrepreneurs or entrepreneurial teams who participated in any of the first 10 editions of the Québec Entrepreneurship Contest (from the first edition, in 1998-1999, to the 10th edition, in 2007-2008).
The terms of participation are available on the Contest Web site in the Business Creation section. Participants can enter directly using the online registration form on the Web site at www.concours-entrepreneur.org. Participating businesses have until March 17, 2014, at 4 p.m. to submit their applications. The winner of the "Successful Business Inc. Prize," will be announced at the 16th Desjardins Grand Prize Gala on June 18, 2014, in Québec City.
About the Contest
The Québec Entrepreneurship Contest was created to support the development of entrepreneurship by rewarding concrete initiatives throughout Québec, through its Student Entrepreneurship division and its Business Creation division. The Québec Entrepreneurship Contest also relies on a network of some 400 resource people in the 17 regions of Québec.
