TORONTO, Nov. 6, 2015 /CNW/ - On November 7, 2015, the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada (QOR) will join Runnymede Healthcare Centre's Chief Planning & Communications Officer, Sharleen Ahmed and the hospital's patient veterans to pay tribute to the brave men and women who gave their lives in the line of duty.
For the last 30 years, the QOR—the country's oldest continuous infantry regiment—has celebrated Remembrance Day at Runnymede.
The ceremony will begin with the QOR marching into the hospital dressed in 1860's uniform to the buglers playing the skirmishers call. Following this will be a performance of The Last Post, a reading of In Flanders Fields and a moment of silence to honour our fallen soldiers.
