MOVIE PREMIERES AS PART OF FAMILY'S MEGA MARCH BREAK PROGRAMMING EVENT
TORONTO, March 3, 2015 /CNW/ - This March Break, frizz meets feds in the new Disney Channel Original Movie Bad Hair Day. Premiering Friday, March 20 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, the comedic caper stars Laura Marano (Austin & Ally) as Monica, a high school tech-whiz whose prom day abruptly shifts into a wild ride across town thanks to a down-on-her-luck cop (Leigh-Allyn Baker, Good Luck Charlie) and a cunning jewel thief. The buddy comedy headlines Family Channel's Mega March Break lineup, a not-to-be-missed programming event overflowing with magnificent marathons and exciting episodes from the network's top series.
Monica has everything ready for prom except for the perfect hairstyle. After testing multiple up-dos she wakes up on prom day to her worst nightmare – the most horrible hair day ever. Desperate to fix it, and with no way to get to the salon, she teams up with Liz, a disgraced ex-cop who shows up at her door looking for a multi-million dollar necklace. Together, the unlikely pair races around town as they try to protect the necklace from a villainous jewel thief and get Monica to her prom on time, leading them to discover they have much more in common than a missing necklace.
Bad Hair Day debuts as part of the network's Mega March Break, a weeklong programming event running from Monday, March 16 – Friday, March 20. Each morning, beginning at 10 a.m. ET/PT, viewers can catch back-to-back marathons from their favourite series including Austin & Ally, Liv and Maddie, K.C. Undercover, Girl Meets World, Jessie and Dog With A Blog. The Mega March Break lineup also features the season three premiere of the Canadian original series The Next Step. The wildly popular tween drama returns Monday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT for a special hour-long premiere, followed by brand new episodes airing each weeknight until the mid-season finale in April.
