The Salon national de l'environnement celebrates its fifth anniversary
The Salon national de l'environnement promises a colourful line-up of activities for its fifth edition, which will run from June 18 to 20 in the Old Port of Montreal!
MONTREAL, June 8 /CNW Telbec/ - The fifth edition of the Coop Terre Nouvelle's Salon national de l'environnement (SNE) will run from June 18 to 20. A host of conferences, workshops, and creative activities will be taking place in Place des Vestiges at the Old Port of Montreal, under the theme of 'Dare to be different by embracing the colours of change!'.
Red carpet for a world premier!
The SNE welcomes Karel Mayrand, Director of the Fondation David Suzuki (Montreal), who will host a world-premier conference based on the documentary film Home on June 18 at 7 p.m. Through the stunning images of photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand, visitors will discover not only the Earth's history, from its creation to today, and the impact humanity has had on it, but also plenty of ideas about how to protect our planet.
A rich and colourful program!
On Thursday, June 17, visitors can attend a sneak preview of the Grand Défilé Vert fashion show that will showcase ready-to-wear creations by Quebec designers, made from recycled, reused, or organic materials. Also, the visitors will be invited to add their personal touch to the live creation of a collective mural painting. As well, don't miss the brand new Recycling Crafters tent located on Bonsecours Island, where some thirty artisans will display their eco-trend crafts incorporating the 4Rs principle. Also on the menu, the Blue Event that will be featuring 5@7s with music! Last but not least, there's even something for car buffs! During the three days of the SNE, visitors will be able to try out the latest fuel-efficient vehicles on Toyota's alternative vehicle test track.
