The event NO 1 on creativity and productivity in Québec
MONTREAL, Nov. 4 /CNW Telbec/ - The Mouvement québécois de la qualité present today at the Palais des congrès de Montréal the 18th edition of the Salon sur les meilleures pratiques d'affaires. This year, spotlights are on creativity and productivity, with many new features.
The Salon, organized by the Mouvement québécois de la qualité, is a goldmine for any company wishing to innovate, improve, revitalize procedures and mobilize employees to become more competitive. The Espace CRÉATIVITÉ is a great place inside the Salon where organizations will discover simple processes helping to encourage creativity and make employees ideas come true. In all, 34 companies will present 42 projects designed for continuous improvement, innovation and sustainable development. The Salon focuses exclusively on information sharing and knowledge transfer and has no equivalent in Québec. Last year, the Salon drew 2,000 executives and managers. The program will also include a Leaders' Forum, an international conference on creativity and productivity and the Award Ceremony for the Grand Prix québécois de la qualité to be presented by the Premier of Québec, Jean Charest.
Leaders' Forum
Panel discussion with leaders who have developed sustainable business models and strategies. Moderated by Dominic Deneault, coauthor of the bestselling book Le Québec sur le podium, the Leaders' Forum will feature five company executives who took up the challenge of value creation and successfully transmitted their passion to their staff. Bernard Bélanger, Chairman of Premier Tech, Josée Fiset, VP Marketing and Strategic Development at Première Moisson, Rudy Pelletier, President of Usinatech, Yvan Morin, President of Industries Mailhot and Luc Paquet, President of Fordia, will share the vision that enables them to constantly improve performance.
A very special guest
The Salon sur les meilleures pratiques d'affaires will also be honoured by the presence of Norman Bodek, nicknamed "Mr. Productivity" by Industry Week. The theme of his presentation will be "How to develop the creative potential of every worker." He will explain how to structure an ideas management program and how to speedily implement employees' innovative ideas for improvements in company performance.
Outstanding performance, outstanding recognition
Lastly, the Premier of Québec, Jean Charest, will recognize the excellence of Québec organizations by awarding the Grand Prix québécois de la qualité in the presence of 800 company directors and strategic employees at a gala luncheon. The Grand Prix québécois de la qualité are the highest awards that the Québec government bestows on private enterprises and public sector organizations that stand out for their quality of management and overall performance.
