High caliber program attracts more than 3,000 participants
MONTRÉAL, Nov 15, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - The Mouvement québécois de la qualité this morning kicked off the Salon sur les meilleures pratiques d'affaires (www.salonmpa.com), organized in collaboration with the Government of Québec. More than 3,000 business leaders, experts and quality enthusiasts gathered at the Palais des congrès de Montréal to participate in the largest event dedicated to continuous improvement and innovation in Québec.
"We are proud to present the cyber-physical factory of the future, a true factory-school incorporating state-of-the-art production technologies and connected systems. Participants will have the opportunity to discover the best practices surrounding this next industrial revolution and to talk to companies that have already begun a 4.0 shift," said Johanne Maletto, Executive Director of the Mouvement québécois de la qualité.
In addition, some 40 teams from across Québec, and from all sectors of activity, will be on hand to share the best practices that enabled them to boost their performance and the growth of their companies. Thanks to their initiatives, they have improved their productivity, the quality of their products and services, and their innovation processes.
For the first time, this year's event will host an international delegation of representatives of quality organizations from several countries including: the Shanghai Association for Quality, the Flemish Quality Management Center of Belgium, the European Organization for Quality, France Qualité and the European Foundation for Quality Management.
The Salon offers a rich program including pavilions on current themes, conferences and a leaders' forum, as well as courses offered by recognized experts. This is a unique opportunity for those who are passionate about continuous improvement and innovation to learn more about the success of Québec companies and to discuss new trends.
A rich program aligned to business needs
4.0 Pavilion
The Mouvement québécois de la qualité, the regional director of Services Québec de Île-de-Montréal and the Ministry of Economy and Innovation have joined forces to present a pavilion dedicated to the 4.0 factory, including the factory-school of the future developed by the Centre de recherche industrielle du Québec (CRIQ). This revolution, which involves connecting production systems, opens the door to highly flexible, ultra-customized production of unmatched quality and competitive costs.
High-caliber conferences
Amir Ghannad, leadership coach, international speaker and founder of the Ghannad Group, will present the keynote conference, Free the Leader Within You! Featuring powerful anecdotes, Mr. Ghannad's presentation invites managers to develop effective and engaging leadership.
Two other conferences are on the program. The first, presented by Deloitte's Luc Lespérance and Flavie Schafer, will deal with the transformation resulting from new collaborative workspaces. The second, led by Claude Lemieux and Joris Myny of Siemens Canada, will focus on Industry 4.0 as a prime opportunity for Québec companies to become leaders.

The Leaders' Forum welcomes four inspiring company executives: Katie Bussières, President of Nubik, Simon De Baene, President of GSoft, Jean Gattuso, President and Chief Operating Officer of Lassonde Industries, and Line C.
