The T17 - a free collective taxi service running every 20 minutes that makes travelling to the Centre Laval and les Galeries Laval easier Français
LAVAL, QC, July 19, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - The Société de transport de Laval (STL) is launching the T17, a free taxi service for clients and workers of the Centre Laval and the Galeries Laval. This service, which runs every 20 minutes, is designed to alleviate travel due to construction on boulevard Le Corbusier North between Boulevard du Souvenir and Boulevard Saint-Martin.
"To allow for the implementation of preferential bus measures (PBM) by the STL
and the City of Laval, the following bus lines are being detoured along boulevard de l'Avenir: 39-S, 42-O, 50-O, 60-N, 63-N, 65-N, 70E, 76-N, 360-E and 903-N. We created this temporary taxi service to facilitate direct travel between these two shopping centres", explains David De Cotis, President of the STL Board of Directors.
The Taxi leaves from the taxi stop at the Montmorency Metro station and drops off clients at pre-established stops according to the following schedule which varies in accordance with the PMB work being conducted:
- Monday and Tuesday between 9:30 AM and 6:30 PM
- Wednesday to Friday between 9:30 AM and 9:30 PM
- Saturday between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM
- Sunday between 9:30 AM and 5:30 PM
"The STL intends to put every effort into facilitating travel for its riders and this service is designed to meet the needs of the many visitors and workers who travel to the Centre Laval and the Galeries Laval every single day" adds David De Cotis.
