The Thetford region succeeds in the field of innovative optical connectivity technologies

DISRAELI, QC, April 9, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The Thetford Regional Economic Development Society (CLD), is pleased to announce that PhasOptx Telecom will be setting up its operations in Disraeli's industrial park in the Thetford region. « The CLD has successfully developed an expertise in accompanying and carrying out this type of project. We have unique infrastructures that favour the setting-up of companies in the region », explains Luc Berthold, president of the development society.

PhasOptx is a high technology company specializing in the manufacturing and the marketing of products in the field of fibre optic connectivity. PhasOptx's focus is the industrialization of a revolutionary technology of fibre optic connectors. The production in Disraeli will be carried out in two phases spread out over three years. PhasOptx already anticipates the creation of more than a hundred jobs, nearly sixty of which in the first year of production, for management positions, technical support, maintenance and management of production activities.

« The municipalities in the MRC des Appalaches have today been enriched by the presence of PhasOptx Telecom in Disraeli, especially by creating new, specialised jobs for young workers », concludes M. Berthold.
