The Truth Sharing Podcasts

VANCOUVER, May 29, 2019 /CNW/ - The Truth Sharing Podcasts, inspired by the National Inquiry into  Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, share the truths of family members, survivors of violence, activists young and old, Elders, and artists.  Four female Indigenous writer / directors, Jacquie Black, Kaniehtiio Horn, Monique Hurteau and Eve Ringuette, traveled to five inspiring communities and places: Norway House in Manitoba, Nain & Goose Bay in Labrador, The Highway of Tears in British Columbia, Métis Nation in the prairies, and Uashat mak Mani-Utenam in Quebec.  They heard stories of loss, investigated the broader impact of the issue of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and 2SLGBTQQIA people, and showcased the incredible courage and strength of people dealing with the challenges particular to their region.

The Truth Sharing Podcasts serve as a living and universally accessible archive honouring lost loved ones, but are also a call to action. These strong and confident voices will have Canadians asking themselves, "What can I do to get involved? "

Now is time for all Canadians to become Change Makers.
