TORONTO, March 26, 2013 /CNW/ - New superstar coaches Usher and Shakira hit all the right notes Monday night as the Season 4 premiere of THE VOICE on CTV Two roared back to claim the crown as most-watched program of the night in Canada for A25-54 and A18-49. With 1.1 million viewers, it was the biggest overnight audience yet for the singing competition on CTV Two. THE VOICE saw huge growth in all demos compared to the fall premiere on CTV Two, up 43% with Total Viewers, +41% with A25-54, +61% with A18-49, and more than doubling its audience with A18-34. Showing growth in every half hour of the two-hour broadcast, the show-stopping premiere reached 2.6 million viewers overall.
Head-to-head from 8-10 p.m., THE VOICE on CTV Two led all other networks, nationally and locally, with total viewers and the key adult demos.* In Vancouver, THE VOICE attracted ratings from 5.0 to 6.0 among the key demos, while in Toronto the series delivered ratings from 4.0 to 4.1.
Meanwhile, CASTLE at 10 p.m. on CTV averaged 1.6 million viewers, making it the #1 show of the night with Total Viewers, and ranking as the #2 program of the night with the key A25-54 and A18-49 demos.

The blind auditions continue tonight (Tuesday, March 26) at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV in front of celebrity coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and new coaches Shakira and Usher. The strongest vocalists from across America compete to be selected by one of the coaches and fight for a chance to win the title of being named "The Voice."
In next week's new episode of CASTLE entitled "The Lives of Others" (Monday, April 1 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV), Castle (Nathan Fillion) finds himself in the unfortunate position of not being able to work a case. While he's holed up in the loft with a broken leg, Beckett (Stana Katic) goes off to investigate the death of an IRS agent without him, leaving Castle miserable and bored. But when he thinks he witnesses the murder of a young woman in the apartment across the street, he is thrown into a murder mystery that hits much too close to home.
