The YWCA Montreal is getting an extreme makeover thanks to the ALDO Group - 175 members of the ALDO Group team will storm this montreal institution to transform its public spaces in one day only Français
MONTREAL, Sept. 12, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - oday, the YWCA Montreal and its Foundation will reverberate with the banging of hammers and strokes of paint brushes as more than 175 members of the ALDO Group team from around the world transform the public spaces of this institution, which has been dedicated to the girls and women of Montreal since 1875, in just one day.
As a result of this renovation blitz, the entrance hall, Boutique Fringues et Cie, the Hotel Y Reception and the multifunction auditorium - among others - will be completely transformed. "What could be better for the YWCA and its Foundation than a completely renovated workspace from which to build a better future for women and girls! This extreme makeover will not only greatly improve our spaces but give us a tremendous boost of energy. "We will offer activities in our new multifunction auditorium and welcome travellers to our hotel and clients to our boutique with a renewed sense of pleasure and enthusiasm", - states YWCA CEO-Executive Director, Ms. Hélène Lépine.
Since 2007, the ALDO Group team has given an extreme makeover to a non-profit organization in the region of Montreal every year. For Réjean Dionne, CEO of the ALDO Group, "contributing to enriching the communities where we live and work is an essential and integral part of the ALDO Group identity. This annual event is a long-standing tradition and we are proud to be in a position to support the YWCA which does exceptional work with the women and girls of our community".
The YWCA Montreal has developed an enviable expertise over 138 years, providing the city's women and girls the tools they need to take better control of their lives. Whether to help women integrate the job market, rebuild their self-esteem, escape violence or homelessness, rediscover the path to an independent life or develop skills that allow girls to actively build a more just and equitable society, the YWCA Montreal, with the support of its Foundation, has been, is, and will always be here.
