OTTAWA, Sep. 8, 2017 /CNW/ - Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston will be at the Residence of the Governor General at the Citadelle of Québec on September 11 and 12, 2017.

"It is a special place where we have presented honours, marked the 100th anniversary of the Royal 22e Régiment, celebrated the season of fall with members of the public and welcomed foreign heads of State and distinguished guests. This last visit gives us the opportunity to meet with our valued partners one final time and to express our appreciation for their support and collaboration over the years."
During this final stay, Their Excellencies will meet with partners from the Quebec region to thank them for their support throughout the seven-year mandate. In addition, the Governor General will present The Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Award to a group of young Canadians and welcome six new heads of diplomatic missions to Canada.
