TheMarkNews.com gets a redesign and wants your opinion
Canada's source for news analysis has a new look and a bold new logo
TORONTO, June 9 /CNW/ - Canadian news website TheMarkNews.com unveiled a redesign based on feedback from its community of users. The new interface is loaded with innovative features to facilitate intelligent conversation online and improve user engagement.
As the first step in an ongoing process to enhance the site, the redesign will allow The Mark to host more multi-channel content in the months ahead, including contests, editorial cartoons, multimedia and more.
By making it available now, The Mark is inviting users to contribute to the site's further development.
Highlights include:
- A fresh logo and grid layout. The design's clean lines and sharp styling are visually appealing and create effortless navigation. New features include a popular contributors section; "Another Perspective" widget that showcases opposing view within articles; plus better organized and more accessible contributor profiles. - A new Series section. Organized by topic, each series features in- depth, multi-channel commentary by Canada's best and brightest minds. - Seamless integration of the latest and best social media tools, including Facebook Open Graph and Like buttons. - A new user sign-up procedure. Users can sign up for top daily or weekly updates and follow contributors to receive an email every time they write something new.
"Our community has grown at such an energetic pace in the past year; we've added notable contributors in every section, created high-quality content, and welcomed new team members. When you're moving as quickly as we are, it's easy to out grow your website's infrastructure," said Jeff Anders, The Mark News CEO. "Our new site, revamped from the ground up, is a mirror for our content; current, compelling and always evolving."
