TORONTO, Sept. 21 /CNW/ - The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is quickly approaching on Sunday, October 3 - but there is still time to show your support. This year, the Foundation makes it is easy to register, fundraise and get involved in this national event with enhanced online fundraising options and social media opportunities.

Since activating donations via Facebook less than one month ago, supporters have contributed over $200,000 to the event - a great example of how easy to use social media and online tools can make a significant difference.
Supporting the Run for the Cure has never been easier, and it is not too late to get involved. A recent independent study by leading software and services provider Convio, compiled a list of the top ways for event participants to become more effective fundraisers. The tips can help Run for the Cure participants efficiently use email, social media and other technologies to raise funds in support of their participation.
