MONTRÉAL, Nov. 7, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Yes, that's right, you can escape the cold here in Quebec this winter and bask in some tropical warmth without ever leaving Montréal! From December 22 to February 11, Montréal Space for Life invites families to celebrate life and nature with the animals from the Tropical Forest. Kids are sure to enjoy a puppet show and a play and discovery area.
Head out on a Tropical Adventure at the Biodôme
(December 22, 2017 to February 11, 2018)
With Christmas just around the corner and until February, visitors of all ages can laugh at the antics of the animals from the Tropical Forest in the Capy's Big Day puppet show. Combining the exuberance of a musical with the clownery of a Chaplin film, it has something for everyone! In the play and discovery area, kids will want to have fun, climb the modules and dress up before heading to the "Beaks and Bandaids" rescue centre, where they can play at being apprentice veterinarians and pretend to help out the animal keepers at the Biodôme who feed and care for the animals. And don't miss Christmas for the animals on December 26. It's a unique opportunity to see them using their natural instincts and skills to unwrap their gifts – their favourite food. This enrichment activity also helps keep them alert.
And that's not all!
You can pretend it's still summer as you stroll peacefully through nine of the greenhouses at the Botanical Garden. Find out what happens with Insects in Winter at the Insectarium and explore new horizons with the new double feature at the Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium, EXO and Space Next. Top it all off with a visit to the four institutions' gift shops, packed with ideas for the nature, science, gardening and environment buffs on your list.
