Thermador enters into a new kitchen era with a complete redesign and integrated connected experience

The biggest launch in the brand's history includes two completely redesigned collections and the new Home Connect™ system that brings new levels of control, culinary knowledge and diagnostics to the kitchen

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Nov. 1, 2018 /CNW/ - Thermador is taking its consumers on an exceptional culinary journey through Home Connect™.  The brand is reinventing connectivity in the kitchen and transforming the way consumers engage with smart appliances. Thermador is unveiling new connected products across every category, including built-in coffee machines, cooktops, dishwashers, ovens and ranges. With the complete redesign of Thermador's Masterpiece® and Professional Collections, consumers are empowered to create unforgettable experiences in the kitchen and beyond with a suite of luxury appliances.

The Thermador Connected Experience by Home Connect™ offers consumers access to a world of culinary inspiration, including exclusive recipes and product tutorials, remote appliance control from a smart device, and remote diagnostics for product assistance from Thermador's Customer Care.

Thermador has aligned itself with a powerful ecosystem of connected partners, providing customers with the ultimate in control, personalization and functionality.  These partners include:

• Nest –By linking a Nest account with the Home Connect™ App, consumers can save time and energy, and be more relaxed while away from the home. For example, if the Nest product is in "Away Mode" and the Thermador oven is still running, Home Connect™ alerts the consumer to turn off the appliance.
• IFTTT – If This Then That (IFTTT) empowers consumers to make connections between the many services and devices they use every day. It creates smart actions between your appliances and devices, including turning on your Thermador coffee machine when your alarm goes off in the morning.
• EVE for Tesla – Evolved Vehicle Environments (EVE) goes beyond remote control appliances by allowing you to define automatic actions based on the GPS location of your car. For instance, when approaching home, you can turn on the lights, open the garage door and pre-rinse the coffee machine.

Wall Ovens
Thermador has elevated the culinary experience with new innovations in the cooking category. With a remote start option, users can preheat the oven from wherever they are. Remote notifications alert the user when Preheating is finished or when Cook Time has completed and users can remotely set temperatures according to recipe instructions via the Home Connect™ app. With remote diagnostics, users can call the customer service phone number and make an appointment for a remote diagnosis of the connected appliance.  When granted permission, Thermador Customer Care can remotely access the appliance, locate the problem area and provide advice. The design of the wall ovens follows the new Thermador aesthetic, which is sleek, minimal and flush-mounted. Some key features include:

• Specially crafted gray glass on stainless steel, which creates a luxurious finish, and standard or flush installation.
• SoftClose® Doors, clear glass providing visibility while you cook, and an option for side-opening doors.
• A new multi-point meat probe, which enables temperature readings from multiple points for precision and consistency.
• Heavy-duty, removable rotisserie, which cooks up to 12-pound roasts and poultry evenly on all sides.

Freedom Induction Cooktops
Featuring the largest fully usable cooking surface area on the market within its class —26% larger than the nearest competitor—the fully usable 36" cooktop surface boasts 56 induction elements enabling the user to heat up to six pots anywhere on the cooktop. The cooktop automatically detects the presence of cookware, and transfers all programmed settings to the next location whenever it's shifted.  The Sapphire Glow™ LED embedded surface lights along the sides of the cooktop, which provides visual feedback when a pot is moved or whether a pot is heated or not. The TeppanyakiPro™ allows users to divide the pan into different temperature zones, making it easy to move ingredients on and off of the heat.

Built-In Coffee Machines
The Thermador Built-In Coffee Machine provides the ultimate in customization.  Using Home Connect™, the owner can select from a variety of pre-programmed coffee drinks from around the world.  With a mobile device, users can set up the machine to make multiple cups of coffee consecutively, in the preferred order.

Dishwashers
Thermador has crafted advanced dishwashers to meet the growing needs of the avid entertainer. With an Easy Start Function, the user can select what dishes are in the dishwasher and the Home Connect™ app chooses a cycle accordingly. With remote control program settings, remote diagnostics and an auto-replenishing feature for detergent, the user can take a load off and let the dishwasher do the heavy lifting.

Freedom® Refrigeration Collection
Thermador's Freedom® Refrigeration Collection has set a new standard for innovation. With remote control through Home Connect™, customers can adjust the refrigeration, freezer and wine column temperatures from anywhere through a mobile device. Added features include remote diagnostics, open door and water filter notifications.

Hoods
When paired with the Freedom® Induction cooktop, the Hood Sync feature includes an "Automatic Mode," where the hood light automatically turns on and the hood automatically activates, adjusting the blower speed to the amount of heat sensed while cooking. The hood features can be controlled via the Induction cooktop display.

Pro Ranges (Launching February 2019)
Select Pro Range models have been redesigned to include a connected oven. Using the Home Connect™ App, users can remotely preheat and shut off the oven, adjust temperatures and receive push notifications that flag when the meal is ready.
