TORONTO, Aug. 29, 2013 /CNW/ - theScore, Inc. (TSX Venture: SCR) ("theScore") today announced a major update to its app for iPhone and iPad, transforming its news offering to provide a truly mobile-first, comprehensive, curated and real-time experience for sports fans.

The news sections across every league on theScore will now deliver up-to-the-minute content, presented in "snackable bites" that break down the biggest stories into the most important elements - stacking each update on top of the last, accompanied by richer visuals and multimedia, including videos and tweets.
"Fans want a unique experience when it comes to following the stories, leagues, teams and players that matter to them on their mobile devices," said John Levy, Chairman and CEO of theScore. In preparing for one of the biggest updates since its App Store debut in 2008, theScore has built a 35-strong mobile-first newsroom, powered by an in-house, custom-designed Content Management System (CMS) that allows writers and editors to deliver mobile news to the user quicker than ever.
