This winter, stimulate your senses with the Tropical Adventure and many other new features at the Biodôme Français
MONTREAL, Dec. 10, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The Montréal Space for Life invites you to escape the winter cold and experience a highly colourful adventure at the Montréal Biodôme starting December 21, 2013. Download the new app Génial! at the Biodôme, based on the show of the same name. Then, take a few minutes to enter into a new dimension: the Biorama. It will be an opportunity for you to enjoy a multimedia experience—created by Moment Factory—before exploring the ecosystems. You are also invited to take part in the various activities of the Tropical Adventure, an event starring Commander Macaw, the Biodôme's exuberant mascot parrot, and enjoy What's that Egg, the captivating puppet show for kids aged 3 to 8 and the fun exploration area Beaks and Bandaids, where young kids can act as trainee vets.
Génial! at the Biodôme: a new iPhone app
You can now take control of the Biodôme for an exclusive virtual adventure thanks to the new iPhone app Génial! at the Biodôme, available from December 21 (and as of January 31, 2014, for Android phones). Restore the delicate balance of the ecosystems through various games, videos and exclusive content in the company of Martin Carli and Stéphane Bellavance, hosts of the show Génial! on Télé-Québec. Will you be able to care for the 500 plant species and 4,500 animals in the five different ecosystems? It's no easy feat, you'll see!
On Saturday, December 21, Martin Carli, co-host of the show Génial!, will be present to meet the families on site from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.! |
Biorama: a multimedia experience created by Moment Factory
Before you start exploring the ecosystems, why not kick off your visit in the new introductory area Biorama, created by Moment Factory? Trade urban rhythm for that of nature thanks to a multimedia experience that will awaken your sense of observation. The TD Friends of the Environment Foundation and the Secrétariat à la région métropolitaine present this new dimension that brings visitors closer to the Biodôme's fauna and flora.
A colourful Tropical Adventure
Children and their families are invited to enjoy a ton of entertaining activities from December 21 to February 9. The adventure begins with What's That Egg?, a puppet show in which the animals of the Tropical Forest try solve a mystery with the children's help. Then, hop onto the Tropical Express, a small train that takes you to the Beaks and Bandaids area, turned into an animal rescue centre. There is also an abundance of discoveries in the Eggs exhibition, with eggs of all shapes and sizes. The challenge? Try to identify them!
