Thomas W. Buchanan appointed to Board of Pembina Pipeline Corporation
CALGARY, Aug. 9 /CNW/ - Pembina Pipeline Corporation, a subsidiary of Pembina Pipeline Income Fund, announced today the appointment of Thomas W. Buchanan, FCA, to its Board of Directors effective August 5, 2010.

"His extensive experience in the energy sector, strong financial background and his proven success in leading growth through internal expansion, merger and acquisition, will serve our investors very well."
Mr. Buchanan was President and Chief Executive Officer of Provident Energy Trust from March 2001 to April 2010. From 1993 to 2001 he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Founders Energy Ltd. Other career experience includes serving in various financial management positions with Bankeno Resources, North Canadian Oils Limited, Merland Exploration and Price Waterhouse. He is currently a Director on the Boards of Athabasca Oil Sands Corp., Emera Inc., Hawk Exploration Ltd., and Pace Oil and Gas Ltd. Mr. Buchanan's volunteerism includes Chair of Renfrew Educational Services, a not-for-profit educational organization for children with special needs. He is also a Chair of the Edge School for Athletes and a member of the Management Advisory Council for the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary.
Mr. Buchanan's appointment was made to fill a vacancy on Pembina's Board. Mr. Buchanan's appointment to the Board includes serving on the Audit Committee, Governance Committee and Human Resources and Compensation Committee.
Pembina Pipeline Corporation transports crude oil and natural gas liquids produced in Western Canada, owns and operates oil sands pipelines and has a growing presence in the midstream and gas services sectors. Pembina Pipeline Income Fund trust units (PIF.UN) and convertible debentures (PIF.DB.B) are traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
