Thousands of Canadians Poised to Celebrate Canada's Cocktail During National Caesar Day on May 19, 2016 Français
All ten provinces will simultaneously raise their Caesars for the largest Coast-to-Coast toast at 8pm ET
TORONTO, May 5, 2016 /CNW/ - On May 19th, Canadians will paint their town red with Caesar celebrations in honour of Canada's signature cocktail, the Caesar. This year marks the second annual National Caesar Day, which fittingly falls each year on the Thursday before the May 2-4 long weekend – Canada's unofficial kick-off to summer.
In 2015, Canadians consumed more than 360 million Caesarsi and #NationalCaesarDay trended across the country. This year, the celebrations have multiplied as more than 200 bars and restaurants from coast-to-coast will celebrate with special Caesar promotions. At the same time, Caesar loving Canucks will be hosting their own celebrations at home; think St.Patrick's Day for Canadians.
The main source for all things Caesar is the website www.NationalCaesarDay.com. This site will provide Canadians with a full list of special events along with participating bars and restaurants, videos of Canadian bartenders creating their local spin on the Caesar, fun facts, comic strips, recipes and more; but one thing is certain – there will be no Bloody Mary's or Caesar salads on this national Caesar Day hub.
One of the largest events taking place this year is the Mott's Clamato Coast-to-Coast Caesar Toast. At exactly 8pm ET, thousands of Canadians will simultaneously raise their Caesars at one host bar and/or restaurant in every province to toast the nation's cocktail during a livestream broadcast celebration. Canadians at home or elsewhere that night are also encouraged to join Canada's largest Caesar Toast. For more information and a chance to participate, visit www.NationalCaesarDay.com/ClamatoCoast2CoastToast.
When choosing a vodka for Canada's signature cocktail, why look anywhere else in the world? Canada's Cocktail should be made with Canada's Vodka! Canadian owned and made Iceberg Vodka is the quintessential choice for the Nation's cocktail. They shine a spotlight on Caesars all-year round and will be celebrating their shared Canadian roots with the Caesar, by hosting grassroots events across the country.
For full details on the second annual celebration and how to participate, visit www.NationalCaesarDay.com. Canadians may apologize for many things, but National Caesar Day won't be one of them.
