Three businesses in the Vallée-du-Richelieu RCM will be able to go ahead with their expansion projects Français
With the help of almost $1 million in support from the Government of Canada, MTL Technologies, Multiple Awnings and Be one breed will be able to expand and contribute to the economic development of the region

In order to create and market innovative products, businesses need to be able to rely on adequate resources. The Government of Canada has adopted an ambitious plan to support entrepreneurial drive through concrete initiatives that generate growth benefiting both businesses and communities.
With the help of funding totalling $955,000, MTL Technologies Inc., Multiple Awnings Inc. and Be one breed (9307-2809 Québec Inc.) will be able to go ahead with investment projects valued at over $8.4 million that will contribute to the creation of 81 jobs in the region. This financial support will allow the businesses to expand by helping them to acquire new production equipment and support the development of new markets.
The announcement was made by David Lametti, MP for LaSalle‒Émard‒Verdun and Parliamentary Secretary to the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions.
The financial assistance granted by the Government of Canada through the Quebec Economic Development Program will allow the recipient businesses to achieve their established growth objectives.

The goal of the project is to allow the company to increase its production capacity and productivity by purchasing state-of-the-art equipment to manufacture refrigerated counters and expand marketing activities abroad. It will allow the company to repatriate the production of some counters from China. The project made it possible to create 9 jobs, with 20 more to be created by the end of 2018.
Founded in 1997 and based in Chambly, MTL Technologies specializes in the design, development, manufacturing and marketing of refrigerated commercial and industrial counters. It has introduced a line of environmentally-friendly products that reduce energy consumption. |

Repayable contribution of $245,000 out of a total investment of $1,370,000
The project will allow the company to double its production capacity with the addition and automation of production lines and the refurbishment of its equipment and facilities (including a new showroom) to meet fast-growing demand for its products.
As an established, leading manufacturer, Multiples Awnings designs, makes and sells retractable awnings, solariums and other related products. Thanks to its flourishing online store as a result of its association with Costco.ca, all awnings and sun shades will now be assembled at the Beloeil plant rather than being imported. The company has also entered into an agreement with the U.S. branch of online store Costco.com so that all orders will be manufactured at its plant and shipped directly from there to the homes of clients in the U.S. The company also has a division for custom products, including, among other things, three-season sunrooms, fixed awnings, pergolas, gazebos and motorized mosquito screens, all manufactured on site for Quebec's retail market. The company intends to create 42 seasonal jobs and more permanent jobs in the long run. |

Be one breed |
Repayable contribution of $110,000 out of a total investment of $489,000
The aim of the project is to develop the company's international sales and to purchase production equipment to help it grow. Ten jobs were created as a result of the project.
