MONTREAL, Feb. 10, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Three funds from the Desjardins line of funds have scored a FundGrade A+ rating from Fundata in recognition of their solid yield performance in 2011. The rating was given to the Desjardins Emerging Markets Fund, Desjardins Enhanced Bond Fund and Desjardins Québec Balanced Fund.
The FundGrade A+ rating identifies funds with not only the best risk-adjusted returns, but also those with the highest level of consistency. It is awarded to funds that have consistently achieved high FundGrade scores throughout the calendar year.
As proof of the importance of this achievement, all three funds ranked in the top 2% in their respective categories, meaning 98% of the funds in those categories achieved lower risk-adjusted returns in 2011.
"We are very pleased and proud that Fundata acknowledged the performance history of these three funds, as well as their capacity to generate superior returns in a turbulent market, as was the case in 2011," states Eric Landry, Director, Specialized Investment Product Development at Desjardins.
Fundata's FundGrade is an independent and objective investment-fund rating system that recognizes funds with superior risk-adjusted returns. FundGrade provides a quick and easy approach for identifying funds with a track record of first-rate performance, helping investors identify exceptionally performing funds.
