KELOWNA, BC, June 17 /CNW/ - Tiex Inc. ("Tiex" or the "Company") (TIX-TSX-V) is pleased to announce the appointment of Terry D. Severs, as a director of Tiex.
Mr. Severs has a background in a broad base of industries. He played a key role in the successful marketing of Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd and Amarc Resources Ltd for the Hunter Dickinson group of Companies.
Mr. Severs, through his private company Pacific Western Services Ltd offered marketing and investor services to a number of Public companies involved in the junior resource sector. Mr. Severs is the CEO of a private mining company, Double Crown Ventures Ltd. He has over 35 years experience in corporate development, finance and investor relations.
Ernest Bergvinson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tiex stated, "Terry's skills strengthen and complement those of the other directors. We are pleased to have Terry join the Board as we continue to focus on the development of the Company and its projects."
The Company has received the resignation of Steven Sobolewski from the Board of Directors. The directors of Tiex express their gratitude and appreciation for his numerous contributions to the Company's progress.
Tiex reports that it has granted options to acquire an aggregate of 200,000 common shares of the Company to Mr. Severs at an exercise price of $0.18 per share until June 15, 2015.
