Tim Hortons launches a hat trick of 'Tims Run™' videos plus World Cup of Hockey 2016 Partnership to celebrate the start of the 2016-17 Hockey Season
OAKVILLE, ON, Sept. 7, 2016 /CNW/ - Tim Hortons celebrates the start of the 2016-17 hockey season today with the launch of a three-part online video series featuring Pittsburgh Penguins® captain Sidney Crosby and Colorado Avalanche® centre Nathan MacKinnon making a surprise Tims Run™ in their home province of Nova Scotia.
This year, Sid and Nate hit the road to surprise a ball hockey team mid-game and bring a well-deserved coffee break to a dedicated team of firefighters at a local Halifax Fire Station. The three-part series is now available for viewing on Tim Hortons' YouTube channel, YouTube.com/timhortons.
"There really isn't anything more Canadian than a Tims Run, so I'm glad Nate and I were able to team up with Tim Hortons again this year and take it to the next level," says Sidney Crosby. "We both love being out in our communities whenever we get the chance and it was fun to surprise some of the people at home in Nova Scotia. This was a great way for us to kick off the hockey season and build on last year's amazing experience."
At the same time, Tim Hortons is celebrating its sponsorship of the World Cup of Hockey 2016 in Restaurants across the country building on a rich history of supporting hockey in Canada. Tim Hortons will be celebrating in the following ways:
