TORONTO, Feb. 6, 2019 /CNW/ - Tim Hortons legendary Roll Up The Rim To Win contest is back and you can play staring today. For the first time ever, in partnership with Jeep, Tim Hortons is giving Canadians the chance to Roll Up The Rim so they can roll through the drive-thru in one of 40 brand new Jeep Compass 4x4 SUVs.
"We know Canadians look forward to Roll Up the Rim season year after year." says Jorge Zaidan, Head of Marketing, Tim Hortons Canada. "This year, we're excited to be offering Canadians amazing prizes and exciting new partnerships with Jeep and Sport Chek."
This year, there are over 40 million total prizes up for grabs. Canadians will have the chance to win amazing prizes, including:
- 40 Jeep Compass 4x4 SUVs

- 1,000 GT Bicycles from Sport Chek

Legendary Creative
"We are also proud to share this year's creative campaign, which shows off the fun and exciting side of Roll Up the Rim in a really lighthearted way" says Zaidan. The campaign, created by ad agency Zulu Alpha Kilo, treats Roll Up the Rim as a professional sport that unites Canadians season after season. The campaign centres on a series of mockumentary-style videos that celebrate "Roll Up Legends", an inspirational set of fictional Roll Up players. The Legends, including "The Rivals", "The Dynasty", "The Injured Player" and "The All-Star" – each have charismatic personalities, relatable Roll Up rituals and reflect Canadians' passion for the great sport of Roll Up. The campaign extends to billboards across Canada, which will feature motivational messages, such as "Roll big or roll home" and "You miss 100% of the rims you don't roll".
This year, Tim Hortons is also encouraging Canadians to post pictures of their own legendary Roll Up winning moments on social media for a chance to win another Jeep Compass 4x4 SUV. On Instagram and Twitter, guests can post a selfie with their Roll Up The Rim cup using the hashtags: #RollUpTheRim #SocialContest. On Facebook, guests can enter the contest by posting their selfie with their Roll Up The Rim cup in the comments thread of designated contest posts.
Zak Mroueh, founder and chief creative officer of Zulu Alpha Kilo, Tim Hortons creative partner, says "Unconventional work only happens when you have a client who wants to do something breakthrough for their category. Together with our partners at Tims, we wanted to take a modern creative approach to this year's Roll Up campaign. We believe the mockumentary videos will get Canadians both laughing and rolling up the rim."
Roll Up The Rim runs from February 6 until April 17, 2019, or while cup supplies last. Prizes can be redeemed until May 3, 2019. Contest rules, odds of winning and prizing information can be found at participating Tim Hortons Restaurants or at RollUpTheRimToWin.com. Join the conversation online by using #RollUpTheRim.
