Company's Tim Cup Challenge recognizes the fastest and friendliest teams in chain-wide competition
OAKVILLE, ON, Nov. 21, 2013 /CNW/ - Team members from one of St. John's 25 restaurants is taking home the title of fastest and friendliest in a search to identify the most hospitable team across the entire Tim Hortons chain.
Nearly 4,000 Tim Hortons team members competed throughout Canada and the United States in events that measured their speed, order accuracy and friendliness. The "Pat-Nots" from St. John's, Newfoundland, located at 283 Portugal Cove Road, were crowned the ultimate hospitality champions out of the nearly 1,300 participating restaurants competing in the company's second annual challenge.
"The Tim Cup Challenge allows us to recognize and reward our team members for delivering the ultimate guest experience, and I am thrilled the challenge is now back for its second year," said David Clanachan, COO, Tim Hortons. "The purpose of the challenge is to encourage friendly competition, and to celebrate our hospitality all-stars, who work hard every day to serve our guests across Canada and the United States with speed, accuracy and a smile."
The final competition was held today in Ottawa. The winning team from St. John's received $6,000 per team member, a trophy and bragging rights.
"We are so proud for making it to the finals, and to bring the championship back to Tim Hortons restaurants in Newfoundland," said Stacey Coish, along with teammates Andrew Boone and Tracey Pitcher and manager Robert Tobin, of Tim Hortons, The "Pat-Nots".
