Tim Hudak's Sidewalk Sales Pitch Goes Sideways
Conservative Leader exposed for empty HST hypocrisy
QUEEN'S PARK, June 18 /CNW/ - Tim Hudak's sidewalk sales pitch tour has gone sideways with his rhetoric exposed as empty HST hypocrisy. In Cambridge he "fell short," offered no detail in Barrie, and in Guelph was "all talk... no promised action." The recent lowlights for Hudak:
- "I interviewed [Hudak] several times about the HST and I asked him a few times: if this is so bad will you scrap it when you're elected? And he never answered that question. I don't get a sense of substance there below the surface." (CFRA Mark Sutcliffe Show - April 23, 2010)
- "But it hasn't taken long for things to get sticky for Hudak. He needs to have more detailed answers." (Barrie Examiner Editorial: May 19, 2010)
- "When Hudak rants against the Liberal's harmonized sales tax without threatening to do anything about it, he does not impress." (Waterloo Region Record Editorial: May 29, 2010)
- "The agenda of Tim Hudak, the Conservative Leader nearly a year into the job, is less clear; he seems to see little value in delving into policy specifics…" (Globe & Mail: June 6, 2010)
- "Hudak fell short of promising to scrap the HST" (Cambridge Times: June 14, 2010)
- "Ontario Progressive Conservative Leader Tim Hudak was once again all talk and no promised action during a visit to Guelph." (Guelph Mercury: June 18, 2010)
