TORONTO, Dec. 3, 2014 /CNW/ - On November 14, 2014, over 250 young professionals gathered at the Toronto Board of Trade to network and enjoy an intimate breakfast with 30 of Canada's most celebrated industry leaders at the third annual Breakfast of Champions fundraiser organized by the Young Professionals for SickKids (YPS).
Tim Leiweke, President and CEO of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, delivered a passionate keynote speech that inspired the attendees to "dream big" in their careers.
"We are proud to support the Allergy Program at SickKids this year" said Simon Leith and Jonathan Tong, Breakfast of Champions Co-Chairs, "and we hope that our fundraising efforts will help transform the quality of life for the 2,000-plus children and adolescents treated at SickKids each year who are affected by serious allergic disorders."
This year, Breakfast of Champions raised over $100,000 for the Allergy Program at SickKids thanks to the generous support of sponsors, including title sponsor Torys LLP and premier sponsors BMO Harris Private Banking, Canadian Tire, Cassels Brock LLP, Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment and Royal Bank of Canada.
YPS would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the sponsors, champions, attendees and everyone else involved in making Breakfast of Champions a continued success.
We look forward to seeing you in 2015!
