Tissot opens the highest Tissot Boutique in the World
LE LOCLE, July 30, 2012 /CNW/ - On 01 August 2012, the Swiss National Day, Tissot will proudly celebrate its partner's centenary, the Jungfrau Railway, by opening a shop at its peak. This earns the Boutique the title of the highest Tissot shop worldwide.
Reaching the shop is an incredible journey in itself. You will witness a true engineering masterpiece in the Swiss railway history and see the beauty of the captivating Swiss Mountain panorama. The breath-taking views will make it seem like time has just stopped but don't worry, Tissot and the Jungfrau railway will make sure you stay right on track.
Once at the top, you will discover as soon as you walk into the shop that Tissot is at the forefront of the retail trend and geared to meet increasing customer demand. The highly modern interior presents the products in the context of a lifestyle experience, while expansive, back-lit walls showcase large prints of the Tissot black and white ambassador campaign. The shop's scheme demonstrates an ability to stimulate and soothe in rapid succession with its glossy versus matt surfaces.
The Boutique offers a wide range of Tissot products which includes the Tissot Jungfraubahn Collection, created to honour the brand's duties as Official Watch of the Centenary Celebration. The eight watch models produced for the occasion bring the alpine feeling to Switzerland lovers all over the world. They will appeal to a diverse spectrum of tastes, with timepieces such as the Tissot T-Touch Expert with the iconic mountain range depicted on the dial or a wonderfully nostalgic mechanical pocket watch in a limited edition. Every watch comes in a collectable box.
The alliance between Tissot and the Jungfrau Railway is an ideal fit in more ways than one. They both demonstrate ultimate timing and precision to reach the pinnacle and just like Tissot's hometown of Le Locle, the Jungfrau region is also on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Additionally, the partnership illustrates Tissot's dedication to staying on top in every field, whether with its products, communication, technological innovations or shops.
For Tissot, "In touch with your time" is far more than an advertising claim. This phrase expresses the brand's DNA; its proven dedication to being perfectly in tune with the technology and tastes of each era. Tissot has been growing and developing its tradition of innovation since 1853. From the early days to the present, in its home in Le Locle in the Swiss Jura mountains, Tissot has translated craftsmanship and precision into stylish timepieces now sold in more than 160 countries around the world. Special materials, advanced functionality and meticulous design detail join forces to create the luxury of accessibility. Tissot is a member of the Swatch Group, the world's largest watch producer and distributor of Swiss Watches, as well as official timekeeper and partner of MotoGP, FIM Superbike, FIBA, AFL, CBA and the World Championships of cycling, fencing and ice hockey. With the latest innovations in its communication and product, Tissot presents impressive proof of its signature, "Innovators by Tradition". www.tissot.ch
