TORONTO, May 6, 2020 /CNW/ - Staff members of TMX Group, alongside their spouses and children, joined John McKenzie, Interim Chief Executive Officer, and Loui Anastasopoulos, President Capital Formation, Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange, for Canada's first virtual market open, in which families shared messages of gratitude for the first responders and essential workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
For more than 20 years, market open ceremonies have celebrated the achievements of business leaders, governments, charities and the capital markets community. As we adapt to our new reality, we celebrate the resilience of our communities through our first market open in 50 days. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, TMX public spaces remain closed, with over 95% of TMX employees working from home.
From everyone at TMX Group, we express our heartfelt appreciation to all who are dedicating their time and energy to help save lives and flatten the curve.
