Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange
TORONTO, May 6, 2016 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for April 2016.
Toronto Stock Exchange welcomed 15 new issuers in April 2016, compared with 14 in the previous month and eight in April 2015. The new listings included 13 exchange traded funds, one life sciences company and one financial services company. Total financings raised in April 2016 increased 6% from the previous month, and were up 19% compared to April 2015. The total number of financings in April 2016 was 56, compared with 73 in the previous month and 59 in April 2015.

TSX Venture Exchange welcomed seven new issuers in April 2016, compared with three in the previous month and five in April 2015. The new listings included six Capital Pool Companies and one mining company. Total financings raised in April 2016 increased 12% from the previous month, and were up 82% compared to April 2015. There were 150 financings in April 2016, compared with 98 in the previous month and 98 in April 2015.
