Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange
TORONTO, Sept. 8, 2016 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for August, 2016.
Toronto Stock Exchange welcomed one new issuer in August 2016, compared with 13 in the previous month and nine in August 2015. The new listing was a mining company. Total financings raised in August 2016 decreased 5% from the previous month, and were up 362% compared to August 2015. The total number of financings in August 2016 was 43, compared with 66 in the previous month and 23 in August 2015.

TSX Venture Exchange welcomed four new issuers in August 2016, compared with nine the previous month and two in August 2015. All of the new listings were mining companies. Total financings raised in August 2016 increased 19% compared to the previous month, and were up 340% compared to August 2015. There were 171 financings in August 2016, compared with 178 in the previous month and 83 in August 2015.
