Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange
TORONTO, Feb. 8, 2018 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) for January 2018.
TSX welcomed 15 new issuers in January 2018, compared with five in the previous month and 17 in January 2017. The new listings included 13 exchange traded funds and two mining companies. Total financings raised in January 2018 decreased 53% from the previous month, and were down 15% compared to January 2017. The total number of financings in January 2018 was 63, compared with 77 the previous month and 51 in January 2017.

TSXV welcomed nine new issuers in January 2018, compared with six the previous month and three in January 2017. The new listings were two capital pool companies, six mining companies and one technology company. Total financings raised in January 2018 increased 94% compared to the previous month, and were up 92% compared to January 2017. There were 213 financings in January 2018, compared with 171 in the previous month and 148 in January 2017.
